Dr. Nnenna Chidinma Igwe was born in Owerri, Imo state, Nigeria, West Africa to Dr. and Mrs. Eliezer Chuku. She graduated from Abia State University, Nigeria, with MBBS in Medicine and Surgery in the year 2000. She also has degrees in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (2009) from Greenville Technical College, SC and a Master's in Public Health degree (2018) from George Washington University, Washington DC.
Upon graduation from medical school, she completed her internship as a Medical Officer I at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital (2000-2001). She then served as a corper with the Abia State Government House Clinic and the State DSS (2001-2002). In 2002 she relocated to the United States to join her husband, Dr. Emmanuel Igwe. Her career in the United States started with her appointment as the Director of Global Missions with Hope Ministry Network., Greenville, SC (2002-2010). She transitioned into the academia as an instructor of Anatomy and Physiology at Greenville Technical College, South Carolina (2007-2018). She is presently an associate professor/Anatomist with Anderson University's College of Health Professions, Anderson, South Carolina.
Her motivation in life is her passion for God and compassion for people. Dr. Nnenna Igwe and her husband are involved in medical missions and establishing Churches all over the world. She also serves as a co-pastor of Christ Ambassadors Church, South Carolina, USA, a subsidiary of Hope Ministry Network. The couple is blessed with 3 children, Emmanuel Jnr., David and Jesse.
