Ogwuanyim Feed The People Programme

The Foundation's agricultural activities are carried out under the Ogwuanyim Agricultural Scheme also known as the Ogwuanyim Feed the People Programme. The beneficiaries under this scheme are farmers who are randomly selected through a fair draw.

The Pilot phase which was limited to Ozuitem, Bende Local Government Area (LGA) was rolled out in February 2020 and the beneficiaries were identified via the modalities below:

  1. Ten (10) farmers drawn from each of the three units of the Ozuitem community (Isiegbu, Mbalaka and Agbua) in Bende Local Government Area, totaling Thirty (30) were identified via a draw and benefitted from the 2020 Grant to support their agricultural activities. It is hoped that this number will increase as the years progress and the scheme would be extended beyond Ozuitem to other parts of the LGA in the coming years.
  2. For 2020, each of the beneficiaries received a grant of N10, 000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) each, which was disbursed on the day of the raffle to support their preparations for the planting season. These grants will be a yearly activity and would be carried out before the commencement of the planting season.

Beneficiaries will be disqualified from participating in future draws for a period of 2 years to allow for a fair representation.
