Ogwuanyim Football Tournament 2020 Kicks Off with Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa Leading the Charge
The 2020 edition of the Ogwuanyim Football Tournament officially commenced on 15th November 2020, marking another vibrant chapter in the Foundation’s commitment to youth development and community engagement through sports.
The opening ceremony was graced by Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa (Ota Bende), who at the time was the PDP Chairmanship Candidate for Bende Local Government Area. In a symbolic gesture of leadership and unity, Chief Onwuchekwa performed the ceremonial kickoff, energizing players and spectators alike. Today, he serves as the Executive Chairman of Bende LGA, continuing his dedication to grassroots empowerment.
The tournament brought together teams from across the region, fostering camaraderie, talent discovery, and healthy competition. It also served as a platform for promoting peace, discipline, and community pride—core values championed by the Ogwuanyim Foundation.
